How does the T-series Kitchen Garden work?

T-series Kitchen Garden is a hydroponic system designed for indoor use and in the T-series you have perfect growing conditions for the different species of plants enabled by the Tregren SmartGardener application and the Active Growing Technology™. Thanks to these technologies your plants grow 3 times faster. The Active Growing Technology™ provides nutritious, oxygenous water to the roots of the plants, the growing light with the optimal light spectrum is an important factor for the growth, and innovative use of nutrients. The Tregren SmartGardener application controls and adjusts everything so ideal conditions are created for the different plants.

What is the difference between T3, T6 and T12 Kitchen Gardens?

The only difference is the size. The T3 is a kitchen garden for small kitchens and households. T6 is the most common size and is designed for a family that uses herbs in their cooking. T12 is the big one for those who use a lot of greens on a daily basis.

How many plants can I fit in my T3/T6/T12

The T3 fits 3-6 pots/seed pods depending on their size. The T6 fits 6-12 pots/ seed pods depending on their size. The T12 fits 12-24 pots/seed pods depending on their size.

What kind of light does the T3/T6/T12 use?

The light is a specially designed LED light that has the optimal spectrum for plants. It resembles midday light at midsummer. It differs from most of the growing lights in the market as we have mixed more yellow light in it to make it pleasant for the human eye.

How long does the water last until I have to add more?

Anything from 3 days to 21 days. When you start from seeds you don’t need to add water for the first 2-3 weeks. At the time you have full grown plants you will need to add water more often. How often , is dependent on which plants you grow. The Tregren SmartGardener application will remind you when to add more water.

How often do I need to change water?

We recomend that you change water every 3 weeks. By doing this you will ensure that the plants have the right amount of nutrients and the water is fresh.

How often do I need to add nutrients?

Nutrients should be added every three weeks at the same time when you change the water.

Why do I need to change the water?

By changing the water regulary you ensure optimal growth of the plants as it’s important to have fresh water with the right PH at all times.

Why do I need to add nutriens?

Nutrients are the key to growth, by having the right nutrients for the plants you ensure a strong and fast growth. The nutrients affect the taste and the health of the plants.

What if I don’t have a smart phone, can I still use my T3/T6/T12?

You can use the T-series Kitchen Gardens without the application as each garden is pre-installed with the Smart Default program. The only thing you need to do is to plug in your kitchen garden and add water.

How do I clean the pump?

The pump can be cleaned by removing the grid in front of the pump. After this you can take away the cover that adjusts the flow of water. Now you can see the propeller. Take out propeller, rinse it under water and put the pieces back together in reverse order.

Remember when cleaning the pump that the controller uses electrical parts inside that must be kept dry. Do not wet the controller. If you accidentally washed or the controller got wet, dry it before use. 
Warning if the controller is wet, it could short out causing a malfunction of the pump or any other electrical part of the device, and also could cause Low Voltage Electric Shock.

What is the energy consumption of the T3/T6/T12?

The power of the lamp and pump is 5,5 watts. If the T3 or T6 is on continuously (24/7), the monthly energy consumption is approx. 4 kWh i.e. 1 euro depending on your electricity agreement. For T12 the energy consumption is double.

What is the life time of the growing light?

The lifetime is expected to be between 3-5 years. Spare parts can be found at www.tregren.com.

My pump stopped working, what should I do?

If you have properly cleaned the pump as explained above, it may be necessary to reboot the garden. You do this by taking the power source out 6 times in a row from the garden, not the power outlet, with power out at least 2s each time. After this the light should blink. You will also need to choose the program again for the garden if you have the app in use.

You can shop at the store.tregren.com webstore if you are at least an 18-year old consumer living in Finland or in another European country. Ordering does not require registration.

The product price is the price in euros which is shown with the product information. The price includes VAT 21%. We reserve the right for price changes. For countries outside EU the price at checkout after placing ordering country will appear without VAT. For orders outside EU the customer will bear the VAT and customs cost at receiving the order directly to freight forwarder.

Payment methods
The products and their shipping fees are paid when ordered. You can pay with the following payment methods in the Internet bank: Visa, MasterCard and Visa Electron cards. Ordering and paying take place safely in a SSL-protected connection.

You will recieve the package in approx. a week after we have received your order. If the delivery of the product is delayed for some reason, we aim to inform you about it as soon as possible.

Delivery to European countries 9,9 Eur for orders worth less than 109,90 Eur.
The delivery is shipped to you by DPD. 

The right of return and change of products
All our products have a 14-day right of change and return according to the Europe Union law. The product shall be unused and in the original sales package. Please always first contact our customer service at info@tregren.com before sending your order back to us.

    In the event of a return where the product is free from any manufacturing faults or defects, the cost of returning the item be borne by the consumer. The price for the order will be returned back to the original payment method used in the order.

    Wrong or faulty product
    If you received a wrong product or the product is faulty or damaged, contact our customer service immediately either by e-mail info@tregren.com.

    We will return the price as stated in the Europe Union law. The returns will be refunded back to the original payment method used in the order. When you change products, we will refund the value of the total sum of your order. We will return the extra money, if the amount of the return is greater than the amount of the new product(s) you have ordered. We will compensate the refunds at latest in 30 days after the return. 

    Cancelling an order
    If you want to cancel your order and the delivery has not yet been shipped, you can cancel the order by contacting our customer service. If the delivery has already been shipped, you should act as described in the return instructions.
